The Community Cultural Development Committee was formed to act as a cultural liaison between Council and the community, making recommendations to Council regarding cultural activities and providing a stimulus to cultural pursuits. The Committee has initiated art projects in the community, including the Packinghouse mural on Jubilee Road. The Committee consists of up to twelve members of the community representing fine arts, heritage, business, youth, and the library, plus two members of Council. All meetings of this committee are open to the public.
