Council
Parks and Recreation Commission
The Parks and Recreation Commission was created to identify and meet the
physical, cultural and social needs of the citizens of Summerland. They make
recommendations to Council on the provision of facilities in order that
citizens of all ages can pursue their leisure activities. The Commission looks
at recreation programs and works with community groups, associations and
agencies so that each can achieve their goals and objectives and provide
service to our community. The Commission is made up of two members of Council,
a member of School District No. 67 and six members of the public. Meetings of
the Commission are open to the public.
